Year 8 students were recently given the task of designing a new library to serve the local community . They had to create design portfolios which showed their research, planning, development and feedback. Senior planners at CBRE in Birmingham, global real estate company, judged the portfolios that were submitted and chose a winner.

Senior Planner at CBRE, Grace Allen said:
“Jack’s portfolio is clearly very well thought out and researched, and incorporates a combination of the architectural styles he likes. The suggested mixed use of the building shows that Jack has considered the lifetime of the building beyond its primary use for all to enjoy, and carefully selected materials for each aspect of the building. The floorplans of the building show that Jack has thought about where the uses would be best located with each other. Well done Jack.”
