Student performs with the National Youth Orchestra

Year 10 student Kaycee has recently completed her first set of performances with the National Youth Orchestra after successfully earning a place following a series of rigorous auditions. As a grade 7 violinist and grade 4 pianist, Kaycee’s musical talents have been recognised on a national level and we are incredibly proud of her accomplishment.

The National Youth Orchestra brings together young musicians from all over the UK who share a passion and aptitude for orchestral music, along with a desire to promote and celebrate music among their peers. Kaycee was part of their recent tour, ‘The NYO Odyssey’, which included stunning performances in London, Coventry, Liverpool and an online live stream from the Barbican Centre.

As a school, we are thrilled to see Kaycee achieve such remarkable success and have her hard work and unrelenting commitment to music recognised. Her achievements are a testament to her talent and the support she has received from our music department and from Dudley Performing Arts.

We are confident that Kaycee will continue to achieve great things in her musical career and we look forward to hearing more about her future accomplishments. Congratulations Kaycee on this incredible achievement!
