Thorns Collegiate Academy is delighted to announce its upcoming open events in September.
The Academy will be opening its doors to prospective students and their parents on Thursday 28 September 5.30pm-8.00pm and Saturday 30 September 9.00am-12.00pm. No need to book, just turn up.
Thorns Collegiate Academy combines the best of traditional education, cutting-edge technology, and strong partnerships to cultivate an innovative learning environment, with the goal to develop and empower well-rounded, knowledgeable individuals who are prepared for the modern world.
During the open events, families will have the opportunity to explore subject departments and facilities, speak to staff and students about life at Thorns and meet the Principal.
Principal, Manny Kelay, said: “At our heart, we are about sharing the spirit of education, placing our students at the core of everything we do.
“We are proud to belong and serve our local community and look forward to meeting prospective students and their families, where they will be able to experience Thorns first hand.”
Families are advised to arrive early, allowing ample time to get the most of their visit and help make the right, informed decision for your child’s education.
The Academy will also be offering a series of open mornings on Tuesday 3 October, Wednesday 4 October and Thursday 5 October between 9.00am and 11.00am by appointment only. For further details, please contact the Academy directly.
Applications for parents applying for secondary school places through Sandwell opened Monday 17 July 2023, with applications through Dudley opening Friday 1 September 2023. From these dates, parents of children moving into year 7 will be able to apply for their place via their local authority.
