It has come to our attention that the English element of the Year 8 reports is incorrect. A computer error has resulted in many students being reported as “Below Expected Progress”. This is not the case.
Where students have dropped below expected progress since the last report, we will contact you to confirm this. For all other students, the progress report released following Assessment 4 will contain the most recent, correct data. You will receive this shortly after the Easter break.
We are aware that our community takes progress reports seriously, and that, for many families, this computer error may have resulted in disappointment – we apologise for any distress caused.
We would like to reiterate that the majority of students are making expected progress or better – if there is a concern which you need to be aware of, the Academy will notify you.
