Following the recent loss of one of our former students, staff and students have asked to be able to commemorate her contribution to the life of the Academy by wearing an item of pink clothing or accessories; as a staff, we fully support this idea, and therefore, the Academy is holding a non-uniform day, for which students will be asked to donate £1.00.
Students will still need to bring in their equipment as the school day will run as normal.
The donations will be used to establish a Bursary, which will support students in Year 11 for future years; it will be focused on funding for students wishing to follow vocational courses or apprenticeships post-16, in recognition of our former student’s commitment to her own post-16 choice of an apprenticeship.
