We were delighted to learn that former Thorns student, Charlie Kemp, will be travelling to Banjul, Gambia later this month to participate in some missionary work.
The trip, organised by Stourbridge College, will enable students to provide new mums and babies with some much needed facilities, including wet wipes, nappies, baby clothes and other typical newborn essentials.
If any parents would like to contribute we are accepting donations at Main Reception. Toys, books and craft materials for young children to play with are also welcomed, as are toilet rolls and sanitary products, which are seen as luxury items for the Gambian women in the village.
Charlie leaves the UK on 23rd February and all items need to be handed to Stourbridge College by February 14th. This means we will need any donations to Thorns by Monday 11th February. Good luck Charlie.
